The anchor tenants at the new Firewheel Town Center Mall will be Dillard's, Foley's and AMC 24 Theater. Inside the mall will be located Barnes and Nobel, Circuit City, Bed,Bath and Beyond, The Gap, Old Navy, and others.

       Currently under construction between 190 and the Super Target on Garland Ave. is Petsmart and Michael's. Office Depot will be building soon between the Target and the also under construction Lifetime Fitness. Next to Chic-Fil-A will be a Marble Stone Creamery and other small retailers.

       In front of the Lifetime Fitness facility will be a Logan's Roadhouse full-service restaurant with Hibernia Bank next door.

       Across from the new mall and between Home Depot and Lowe's on Northeast Parkway will be a Best Buy, Linens and Things, and a B. Dalton Book Store. There will also be a Rockfish restaurant and one or two other restaurants (probably in front of these other stores).

       The Garland City Council recently approved Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants to be next to the Outback Steakhouse located on highway 190 east of Garland Ave. Construction on the Olive Garden should start during March or early April 2004 followed by the start of construction on the new Red Lobster about 90 days later.

       Work is underway on highway 66 (Lakeview Drive) in Rowlett on the new Home Depot located just west of Chili's and Walmart.
